Urban Forestry

Originally aired on October 6, 2021, this installment of the Division of Planning’s “Mornings with Planning” webinar series focuses on our city’s urban tree canopy. Urban trees contribute generously to the establishment and continued success of a desirable community. Join our expert panelists as they discuss how Lexington may meaningfully prioritize and implement the expansion and management of our community’s urban forest to reflect the intersection of values within a diverse stakeholder network.This discussion will also delve into how we, as a community, may celebrate the trees that weave their way throughout the spaces where we conduct our daily lives.
