Explore Your City Differently
It seems that two of the most frequently used terms that planners use these days is “context” and “context-sensitive.” Both of these are incredibly important terms – as they illuminate the importance of considering the interrelated conditions that contribute to the creation of desirable and intentional places.
To illustrate various characteristics relating to "context" both within our plan and the Lexington community, we created an interactive map that allows you to explore the themes of Imagine Lexington through that lens.
Using this map, you can explore data relating to different plan elements and get a general view of the distribution of different zoning, services, and natural features in our community.
These maps pair well with their respective chapters in the plan, but can be cross-referenced to help visualize different policy initiatives across all five themes.
